Although I am hoping to go outside of Michigan for residency (fingers crossed)... I am so proud to have called Detroit home for the last 4 years.
I love this city.
Period.
I will miss it sorely when (and if) I leave. And I will be very happy to complete my residency here, if that's what happens.
When people ask me why I love Detroit so much I usually respond with, "It's hard to explain. But there's something about the grittiness of Detroit and about the hope that is constantly rising up from the ashes of this once great city."
I really cannot wait for Detroit to make it's comeback... it's in its infancy right now. Just wait.
